What started as an idea to improve transparency and accountability became a project that will help shape the future of healthcare quality reporting within the San Diego Sheriff’s Medical Services Division.

I’m incredibly honored to receive a Meritorious Unit Citation alongside the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) team. This award recognizes exceptional service, innovation, and contributions to public safety, and I’m proud to have contributed to the data and technology infrastructure that made this initiative possible.

My role focused on developing sustainable and accurate data solutions, including building complex SQL processes, designing a semantic data model, and creating the foundation that transforms operational and clinical data into meaningful, actionable reporting. These systems help ensure that performance metrics are reliable, transparent, and accessible for ongoing quality improvement efforts.
